We all want the same thing.
A happy, relaxed dog who fits into your life who walks calmly by your side, comes back when you call, and settles contentedly at the end of the day.
But sometimes, the reality is a bit different.
Maybe your dog drags you down the street, ignores you at the park, or barks at everything that moves.
Maybe your puppy is nipping, chewing, or you're just feeling a little out of your depth.
Or perhaps they have a specific challenge, like chasing squirrels, rabbits, deer and river wildlife, and this is making your walks stressful.
Whatever your situation, I'm here to help, and you don't have to figure it out alone.
Introducing Lifestyle Dog Training
At Barkshire Dog Training I work with you, in your everyday life, to build connection between you and your dog that genuinely lasts.
Hi, I’m Sarah from Barkshire Dog Training I work with you, in your everyday life, to build connection between you and your dog that genuinely lasts.
How I work with you
Every programme I offer is bespoke, built around your goals and your dog's individual needs because no two dogs - and no two families - are the same.
Sessions take place at your home, at my Caversham venue, or out on location - wherever makes most sense for what we're working on.
And while we're working together, you'll have my support between sessions too, so you never feel stuck or alone between appointments.
Whether you're starting out with a new puppy, navigating a specific behaviour challenge, or looking to tackle something more complex like predatory behaviour, I'll design a training journey that makes sense for you both.

Success Stories
Really great experience with Sarah! We've learned an arsenal of tricks to help our pup improve on walks and at home and couldn't be more grateful for Sarah's continued support. I'd highly recommend her to anyone in search of a dog trainer. Thank you, Sarah!!!!

Sarah has been amazing, started Cody on the puppy foundation course and have continued. Sarah is patient, consistent and goes out of her way to help .. you never feel that your hour session is just that . She will keep in contact with text messages , videos and tips all throughout.. Cody was a shy and timid young puppy on starting , he is now coming along heaps and bounds .. Barkshire dog training gets my vote but Sarah is what makes us wanting to go back .. Well done Sarah for all your hard work and commitment ❤️

Sarah has been working with my autistic teenager and her dog in training sessions for the last month. I am supremely grateful for how sensitive and kind Sarah is with my daughter, who thoroughly enjoys the training sessions. Our dog is still very much a 'work in progress' but he's much calmer with the training and time that my daughter and Sarah are spending with him.
